About ME

Hi, I'm Yerinson Pineda. In 2018, I left a promising career in the Dominican Republic to move to the USA. Back home, I had a stable job, Big 4 experience, and a comfortable life. But deep down, I knew I needed to challenge myself and prove that I could build a successful career and life on my own terms, even in a new country. However, the transition wasn’t easy—navigating a foreign job market, adapting to cultural differences, and overcoming the initial shock of starting from scratch were daunting.I felt torn between hope and fear. While I believed in my potential, doubts constantly crept in: Am I good enough? Will my international experience and education ever be valued here? What if I fail and prove everyone who doubted me right? Internally, I wrestled with loneliness, uncertainty, and the weight of expectations I placed on myself.Externally, the struggles were evident. My English needed improvement, my resume didn’t align with American standards, and the job application process seemed like an endless series of rejections. Financially, the cost of living in the USA was far higher than what I had anticipated, and supporting my family added pressure. To make ends meet, I worked at Amazon and USPS—jobs that, while humbling, reminded me of the stakes and my determination to succeed.The turning point came when I decided to stop listening to the doubts—both my own and others'. I created a system to tackle my challenges head-on: I improved my English through relentless practice, restructured my resume with the help of mentors, and focused my job search exclusively on public accounting and internal audit roles. I also began studying for the CIA certification, knowing it was my ticket to career advancement.The magic moment happened in 2019. After countless applications, interviews, and setbacks, I landed my first corporate job at Carr Riggs & Ingram. That one "yes" transformed everything. I finally saw my potential in the American corporate world, and I knew that with hard work and strategic moves, I could achieve my dreams.Throughout my journey, mentors played a crucial role. From former colleagues who reviewed my resume to interviewers who gave constructive feedback, each interaction lifted me closer to my goal. The lessons I learned from mentors and my own experiences became the foundation of my belief that success is attainable with the right guidance.Today, I’ve doubled my income, advanced to a six-figure position at Deutsche Bank, and built a thriving life in the USA. But my story isn’t just about financial success—it’s about creating balance. I’ve mastered the US financial system, strengthened my marriage by reducing financial stress, and embraced a philosophy of enjoying life today while building wealth for the future.
